Not so disappointing

Salut, ça va?

Picknicking in Paris and trying to take stupid Eiffel Tower photos. Didn't work out. On the right: our dinner.

Good people.

Good things.

Yes, we also did some sightseeing.

Good!

Merci again to François and all of you. And the Parisian sun.

Mayday Mayday!

If you're out in Kreuzberg on the 1st of May, you can choose between throwing stones against the policemen or just having some nice party on the streets. We went for the latter one and spent our day and night eating, drinking, dancing and catching a lot of sun.
For more and better photos, check the incredible xammm.com.

Rhythm is a dancer!
Hundreds of people were dancing in the streets before everything was ended by the police.

Hugs from Sunshine City!

I'm good.

Hello my Friends.
I think I owe you some words after this long period without even a gentle noise. So basically, as all of you I guess I've been quite busy (and still am) with this theater competition, few comissions, some identity projects for friends that try to start with club, hairdresser and concept store at one spot and of course ultimate - my new love :) So, from the beginning. This Tuesday we've been to Warsaw for the announcement of the final results of The New Theater competion. I could recognise few of the most important polish architects, actors and even minister of culture at the conference. And that's all. We got honourable mention, which shoulg mean that among final 10 works, our finished as fifth (but as some of the spots have been given ex aequo prize, having honourable mention, we've finished about tenth place). Judgement of jury about on our work was saying sth like "the beauty of architecture took over reasonable functional diagram", so basically oldschool architects with 50 people under kicked ass 2 students from Łódź. But in the same time we kicked over 100 polish and european asses, so basically we're satisfied. Right now starts really big competition for The National History Museum of Poland and if it's going to be prepared as well as the theater compe
tition (and looks as it's going to be even better - Moneo, Souto de Moura, Dalnoky in the jury), if you only have a chance, participate in it. This way, maybe we can have our own contest - would be really cool. So that's almost everything about architecture, cause there's one more thing that's inside my head right now - my diploma :) Till now I know, that it should end up as common house with exhibition spaces to animate the lil' bit forgotten district. There's 2,5 month left, and I'm not sure if I'll make it, but it's gonna be fun anyway.

[my diploma plot is the emty one just in the middle]

The other thing I do besides architecture (and sometimes it even starts to take over) is ultimate. Right now we play almost 2 tournaments a month, what means leaving Łódź on Friday, going to other polish city (or Vienna, or Pilsen like this year) and coming back on Sunday night totally exhausted but always with a smile. And after some months when our team was usually closing the final stands table, sun has risen also for us - we've got historically best 4th place on the last tournament of polish championships, and finally after joining one of Warsaw teams, we've won 4th place in Vienna on one of the biggest central european ultimate tournaments. And as playing ultimate mean lots of travelling, in a week we're going to play in Warsaw (first polish outdoor tournament) and on the weekend 1-3rd of May, we're coming to Berlin, hellyeah! Springtime on grassfields of Berlin!

[the winning team from Vienna]

And the last thing I'd like to share with you, is a bit connected to the previous post on this site. Seems as we're going to have small reunion in Paris at the end of May :) I'm moving for the last workshops as a student, I guess, to Lille, for a week and afterwards to Paris, where both Maries will be waiting for me with baguettes, croissants and frogs :) And beeing in Paris, means seeing Francois, Luc and Jean Nouvel. Awesome!

Take care people, have great spring and peaceful Easter!

hell'fuck'n'yeah!

Dear friends,
been quite busy recently, but finally coming back with some news.

First of all, great thanks to Marie for providing us shelter during New Years Eve and some unforgettable memories AGAIN ;) (Believe me, Marie even paid with her health for that. Hope your fine already!)

Thanks to Denis, for moving to Berlin for this occasion, having some good Tampere-like time.

Thanks to Mr.Curator Flower, for having superb breakfast with us. Was short, but was cool and good to see you again. Best wishes for the final (most important ;] ) months of preapartions.

I'm working quite a lot at the moment (surprise surprise, but still not as much as Luc, dammit) on some commercial commissions, own house and the very last submissions at university. After that there's only diploma waiting in front of me.
But there as some moments, like yesterday, that make you feel good and keep you going on. Okay, i'll give you a hint of what happened. Recently there's been a competiton for a new theater in Warsaw, quite important thing. It was said that sth like 160 ffices were interested (from Poland and abroad as well) and finally 120 submitted work for the first phase (who passed the first phase was among 10 teams to join the final part and fight for winning entry and huge loads of money). And we (I and my friend) passed it. We're among those 10 teams to submit final drawings until the end of march (and we already won some money ;) ).

Of course as it comes to such big competitions, only regular architectural offices can tak part, so we had to have an architect on board. And that was one of our teachers, that have seen the final design just after we've sent it :D Of course now, he'll be included in the design process, i think ;)

Hope you're doing good as well friends!

SprMarie, any new twins?
MarieCherie, how's the house design?
Adam, how's the diploma? (and what about Peti's?)
Peter, i guess that if there's already a group on fb, that means that biennale will actually happen :D
Luc, any news from you?

[Nuit Blanche]

hey people,
some pics of the latest stuff i found to keep me busy, asides my current work : the 'Nuit Blanche' of this Oct 4th.
I was proposed to take part to a small performance, strange happening which melted electronic music, a real choir (the guys in the windows, called 'White Spirit Band'), light animation and video projections.
My rôle was to make a video there, and that is what it gave : lots of people, who seemed to like it...

Bp's over

Hi friends!
It's not even a week since i'm home and quite many things are happening here after my arrival, and that's why post comes now (for me it should come even later, cause i still cannot find right words to express how thankful i am to all of you who made my stay in Bp so good). But at the same time i didn't want you to wait too long and have the feeling that i already forgot about everything :P No, i didn't.

I can definitely say - those 2 months of summertime were my best ones. Of course i had some incredible time before this summer, of course i was missing few friends around me even now, but i never had such a perfect summer in a sum. And as i like it intense, i liked it even more.

Everyday work (almost everyday, hehe), coming back around 6pm (many times later), having a dinner, doing some sports (till John was there, later we skipped this point) and parties (rarely other activities) in Godor, Szimpla, Corvinteto, Fecske, Buddha Beach, ZP or even in Rio. All that with liters of wines, frocs, sunsets and one but special sunrise at Gellert hill, with all of you guys, yeah that was amazing.

Hopefully you'll contiune with playing frisbee, or start if you didn't try yet and will meet on next olympics, hehe.

Have fun and keep on smiling in Hungary, Greece, England, Poland, Canada, USA, Greece, Thailand, Brazil, Ireland, Australia, Croatia, Norway, Germany, Syria, Lebanon, Romania, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland and Scotland!

köszönöm

[6]: not the end!

[7]: I am doing QUITE well in getting an orientation of Budapest. Quite!

[8]: Sziget 2008: one free ticket, some GREAT free bands, some cheap beer. Adam made me discover that great Hungarian band called Erik Sumo. I brought you one song to get into them. Click n enjoy (see above, "music")!

[9]: Hungarian bottle opener

Altogether... Thanks again for some wunderbare days and nights in the city of free public transport, it was so great with you! Rather sooner than later I'll be back for having breakfast on the windowsills, lunch in the park and beer on the roof. And more Pálinka. Szimpla I don't really need, we have it here although I doubted it (so sorry!) :]
Say szia to people I met and give the ticket controller a hug (I see them ANYWHERE in Berlin now although I've got a valid ticket... brrr)!

Was good, in a funny way!
